Vreseis sliver comes from my certified organic plant breeding program. The slivers are described by either their plant varietal name (such as Buffalo) or as a Breeders Mix color (such as Green). Characteristics of color and fiber quality are consistent within each type.

The color of all Foxfibre® cottons darken with washing, so it is important to boil a sample yarn to determine the final color. The original spinners who helped bring Foxfibre® cotton into the world discovered that boiling handspun yarns not only sets the twist but also sets the color. As the mineral content of the tap water does affect the process, we advise that you boil all of the yarn you spin for a particular project at the same time for greatest color consistency. I boil my yarns for 20 to 40 minutes; the longer it boils, the more intense the color will become.
